Dockmaster & Engineering Advisor’s Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee various marine operations, including preparing technical documentation and the development of plans
- Ensures all lift equipment is well-maintained and operational
- Generate docking plans to ensure all vessels are safely lifted and docked
- Provide engineering support for semi-complex vessel alterations
- Oversee marina duties such as, berthing, mooring and storage of vessels
- Support the development and plan of vessel alterations
- Provide engineering advice and technical solutions to production
- Offer bid or no bid recommendations based upon lift and technical capacity
- Present information to senior management about docking and engineering solutions
Qualifications:
- Must be NAVSEA certified to operate both marine straddle lifts and synchrolift
- Proven experience with interdepartmental teams at all levels of management to accomplish tasks
- Ten years experience in this capacity
