Accountant’s Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Help ensure CAPEX projects follow the company’s policy
- Assist operations with preparation of CAPEX requests
- Monitor cost and schedule variances of CAPEX projects
- Perform GL account reconciliations and prepare journal entries in a wide variety of areas (insurance, rent, vendors, etc.)
- Assist in requests from external parties, to include auditors, grants from local municipalities and insurance brokers
- Sample and review coding on indirect purchase orders
- Research and analyze actual to budget variances
- Utilize accounting theory to analyze purchase order accrual
- Approve non PO and AP invoices
Qualifications:
- BS / BA in Finance or equivalent years of experience
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screen
